Sports Addicts Dynasty 2
GENERAL The Sports Addicts Dynasty 2 will consist of 10 teams competing in the 4 major professional sports, MLB, NBA, NHL, NFL, and will include the PGA Tour. This is a dynasty/Keeper league, the number of players kept at the end of each sport season is described below. All sports will be run in Yahoo Sports and will be H2H, excluding the PGA which will be a points league run on the league site. The league site (http://sad2.proboards.com/) will be the home base for everything in the league.
The target draft start date is ASAP.
League start date: The MLB and PGA pools will start one week after the draft is complete. The following Monday for baseball, and following tournament for golf.
FEES Entry fee will be $60. This must be paid before the draft with no exceptions. Failure to comply will result in your team being sold. We will determine the best time to pay up for year 2 and so on at a later date. Leaguesafe will be used for league fee collection.
PAYOUTS MLB Winner - $60 NBA Winner - $60 NHL Winner - $60 NFL Winner - $60 PGA Winner - $30 Overall Winner - $180 2nd - $90 3rd - $60
Overall Point totals per sport (MLB, NBA, NHL, NFL) 1st - 12 pts 2nd - 10 pts 3rd - 8 pts 4th - 7 pts 5th - 6 pts 6th - 5 pts 7th - 4 pts 8th - 3 pts 9th - 2 pts 10th - 1 pts
Overall Point totals (PGA) 1st - 7 pts 2nd - 6 pts 3rd - 5 pts 4th - 4 pts 5th - 3 pts 6th - 3 pts 7th - 1 pts 8th - 0 pts 9th - 0 pts 10th - 0 pts
**Most points after all 5 sports are done will win the overall winner prize.
DYNASTY/KEEPER At the end of each sport's season, the following number of keepers must be declared going into the following season: MLB - 18 NHL - 16 NFL - 16 NBA - 14 PGA - 10 This is essentially the number of starters per sport, meaning the 6 bench spots per sport will be dropped. This is to make the end of season decisions and trades a little more exciting and to make the following years draft a bit more exciting. The 2 prospects per sport, do not count towards the 18-16-16-14-10. The players you keep can be ANY positions. You don't have to keep strictly the position players in each sport. You can keep 6 QBs.
INITIAL DRAFT There will be an 108-round draft, including all players from all 5 sports, with a 6-hour time limit per selection. Payment is required before we set our draft order. Draft order will be based on the results of a random draft generator (fftoolbox). It is anticipated the draft will take 2 to 3 weeks.
Rounds 1 to 4 - 123, 321, 321, 123
Rounds 5 to 32 - 112233, 332211 (TWO selections per Pick)
Rounds 33 to 48 - 333222111, 111222333 (THREE selections per Pick)
This may look confusing, but is basically a 3rd, 5th and 33rd round flip draft with 2 picks per selection starting in round 5 and 3 picks per selection starting in round 33.
NO DRAFT PICK TRADING CAN BE DONE IN THE INITIAL DRAFT. I want the league to start off fairly. I’m sorry if you don’t like this, but this rule will not change. Also if we allow trading the draft will take twice as long.
If an owner fails to submit a draft pick(s) within 6 hours, the next owner can make their pick(s). The owner who missed their pick(s) will be allowed to make up the pick(s) when they return.
PROSPECTS/DEVY PLAYERS Each team will be allowed 2 (MAX) prospects or developmental players per sport. These prospects can be drafted at anytime during the initial and rookie drafts.
Once a prospect/devy player is called up to your pro team, he cannot be returned to your prospect team.
Once a prospect reaches his max games players, he must be added to your pro team or dropped immediately.
A team can have as many prospects on their pro team as they like, as long as the players are drafted (minus PGA) (NBA and NFL are the only college player eligible sports). Only 2 prospects can be put on your prospect team per sport (stashed), not counting towards you pro roster numbers.
**The only way to add a player to your prospect team is via drafting and trading. You can't continuously swap players on and off your prospect teams all year.
The following is a definition of prospects for each sport: MLB Batter: 120 at bats Pitcher: 10 games started (SP), 25 innings pitched (RP) *All prospects must be drafted
NBA Once the player is drafted he is no longer a Prospect going into the following season. *Prospects must be college players
NHL Skaters: 100 games played Goalies: 50 games played *All prospects must be drafted
NFL Once the player is drafted he is no longer a Prospect going into the following season. *Prospects must be college players
PGA 20 PGA Tour Starts *Prospects can be anyone
ANNUAL ROOKIE/COLLEGE/FREE AGENT DRAFT The annual rookie drafts will be done for each individual sport, and start one month from opening day of the respected sport. There will be a 6-hour time limit per selection. The draft will be Pro style – NOT serpentine. This helps level the playing field for inferior teams.
The drafts will last 8 rounds. (6 rounds to replenish each teams bench spots, and 2 to replenish prospect spots if needed)
The PGA draft will be 4 rounds.
Trading of draft selections is permitted prior to and during the draft.
If an owner fails to submit a draft pick within 6 hours, the next owner can make their pick. The owner who missed their pick will be allowed to make up the pick when they return.
Year One Pre Season Drafts Due to the fact the initial draft will be held well before the start of the NFL, NBA, and NHL seasons, there will be three 3 round pre season drafts for these sports only. These three drafts will be held one week before each of the sports start and will include any players not drafted in the initial draft, and prospect players if you have any open roster spots for them. The order of these drafts will be determined democratically after the initial draft.
ROSTERS AND SCORING *There is no max number of players for any individual position. Only NFL DEF teams (3 max). *All standing tiebreakers will be determined by the team’s total points. *Rosters will be set WEEKLY
**After the initial draft, the number of bench sports can be changed for each sport. You must draft 6 bench spots per sport in the initial draft, but after you can have a MAX of 7 in any sport, BUT you must offset this with 5 in another sport. There is a max of 24 bench spots in the entire league. This rule if to facilitate inter sport trading.

There is no playoffs in the PGA as the league is a full year points league.
FREE AGENTS and WAIVER WIRE There are unlimited moves for each of the 4 major sport.
* There is a 1 golfer per week addition max in the PGA league. Any player dropped can be added by another team immediately.
Prospects can be added at anytime if they are drafted into their respected sports. College players for the NFL and NBA, must be drafted only in the annual rookie/devy draft.
Waiver Wire will be a continual rolling list for all sports.
NO players can be added in the off-season of their respected sports
TRADING Trading of draft picks for each sport can be made one year into the future. To do this ½ of the following years fees ($50) will have to be paid by the team trading away the pick(s). The money will be put towards their next season’s entry fee, but is non-refundable if the team leaves the league. This is to avoid team going for it for one year then quitting.
Inter sport trading is allowed, example: Braun for Brady.
All traded will be voted on through Yahoo, or on the forum for inter sport trades. 5 of 8 votes are required to veto a trade.
Trading Procedure 1 - All trades are to be posted in the "Trades Made" section. 2 - The trade must be confirmed by both sides to go through. 3 - An email must be sent around to the league informing everyone of the trade. 4 - Everyone has 48 hours to vote against the trade, before the trade officially goes through. 5 - 5 of 8 votes against the trade will veto the trade. (VOTES ARE SENT TO THE COMMISH ONLY)
**THE LEAGUE FORUM WILL BE THE “HOMEBASE” FOR THE LEAGUE WITH EACH TEAM KEEPING TRACK OF ROSTERS AND TRADES IN THE OFFSEASON, AS YAHOO DOES NOT RUN ALL YEAR AROUND.

Minor rule modification:
* There is a 1 golfer per week addition max in the PGA league
- Was 2
2 was just too much. With only 10 golfers per team, it could be insane with people swapping two golfers each week. This may not be a problem, but I want to air on the safe side. I'm not sure of the amount of movement we will have here. Also with 100 golfers rostered there will not be much out there.
I consider this a very minor change. Anything a bit more important will go to votes if an immediate change is needed.

So for our ten players for golf that are starting every week, if they don't go into the top 10 they don't get any points? Please explain to me on how the PGA Tour scoring works. Sorry but I am a little confused with that.

If any of your 10 players finish in the top 10, they receive the point associated. The league is a total points league.
